Do you or does someone you love struggle in school? Does it seem like the effort put into school never seems to match the end result? Is your child just barely "at grade level" year after year? Does it appear that your child knows something one minute, but not the next? Does your child struggle to get started with tasks or to see tasks through from start to finish? Do people reassure you that your child making sufficient progress, but your gut tells you that something is just not right? Do you suspect that your child may have exceptional learning abilities or may be twice exceptional?
I can help!
My practices aims to support children and families through a focus on education and improving academic, behavioral, social, and emotional outcomes in the academic environment. Through consultation and evaluation, I help students (and those that love and support them) by identifying factors that are limiting academic and personal growth and helping to create plans that allow the student to more fully recognize his or her potential as a learner.
I am trained as an Educational Psychologist, and I practice as a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado. Dr. O'Donnell has been in private practice since 2012, and she has over ten years of experience as a school-based mental health provider, school psychologist, and special education administrator.
I specialize in psycho-educational evaluations and the identification and diagnosis of learning disabilities (e.g., Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia), ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. I also supports families as an educational consultant and advocate, helping families to ensure that their child is receiving appropriate services and supports in his/her educational environment.
